Cooler Weather and Rodents

I don’t know about you but we are rejoicing at the cooler temperatures in North Texas lately. Fall has certainly finally arrived! But just like with every other season, you have to be prepared for what that change in temperature means for pests and insects.

At Sureguard Termite and Pest Services, we see a lot of concerns during the cooler months about rodents such as mice and rats making their way into your home to warmer temperatures. Often times in our area people believe that something bigger such as a squirrel may be in their walls but with the amount of gnawing that mice can make often times makes them sound much larger than they really are.

While rodents are certainly not clean and the idea of them sharing a living space with you is less than desirable, there are some really important reasons why you want to make sure they don’t take up permanent residence in your home.

Rodents can do extensive damage to your home and vehicles including:

*Damaged electrical wires that can lead to fire

*Tearing, chewing and burrowing into insulation

*Chewing and nesting in car engines

*Damage surfaces due to urine and feces droppings

The first sign that you may have a problem is often time the damage or droppings that they leave behind. If you find signs of these pests in your home this season call Sureguard and let us take care and prevent them from being a bigger problem down the road.  We offer customized services to handle your pest large or small. Affordable Bed Bug Control

I recently went to a home with bedbugs. The homeowner had a severe infestation. In speaking with the homeowner I asked how the infestation got so bad. She said about two years ago that she had called one of the national companies. They sent out a sales man and he told her that it was going to be $1500 to treat her bed bugs. That is not the worst part. He then told her she would have tBed Bugso throw her furniture away and get new furniture. She just gave up because it was just going to be to much. Then recently she saw one of her friends share a post of facebook about Sureguard. She decided to try one more time. We gave a fair price, she did not have to throw her furniture away. She now enjoys a bed bug free home. Great service can be affordable.
